Job summary

Frontier Farm Credit in Omaha, NE seeks an Artificial Intelligence Engineer Intern to turn cutting-edge AI concepts into production-ready solutions. You’ll prototype, deploy, and monitor AI systems with guidance from experienced engineers and governance teams.

You’ll experiment with Generative AI models and platforms, design prompt strategies (including RAG), evaluate AI applications for performance and ethics, and collaborate with product teams to deliver reliable, scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or MIS, Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available for a 12-week internship during the summer.

Responsibilities

• Experiment with Generative AI models and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Microsoft 365 Copilot).
• Design and implement prompt engineering strategies, including RAG.
• Evaluate Generative AI applications for performance, cost-efficiency, and ethical compliance.
• Collaborate with business units, product management, and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to optimize business requirements through automation.
• Follow best practices to ensure reliability of AI-driven solutions.
