Job summary

TikTok is seeking interns to join the General Architecture team for a 12-week Summer 2027 program. You will help build AI-native engineering infrastructure, use AI to improve maintenance and CI/CD, and contribute to scalable AI-driven platform work.

The role offers hands-on experience across software disciplines, opportunities to explore career paths, and participation in development workshops and social events.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during the Summer of 2027.
• Hands-on software development experience; independently implement, debug, and deliver features.
• Proficiency in at least one mainstream language (TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Go, Java, C/C++).
• End-to-end delivery mindset across client, server, and data layers or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Explore and implement AI-Native Engineering Infrastructure across AI agents and developers.
• Leverage AI to drive automated maintenance, refactoring, and CI/CD optimization.
• Establish evaluation standards for AI-assisted R&D efficiency and benchmarking.
• Design and build architectures and frameworks for AI-driven scenarios.
• Stay current with software engineering and tooling; evolve tech stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.
