Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an AI Engineer II to contribute to the AI/ML systems for Blue Ring ground operations, including multi-agent telemetry analysis, anomaly detection, and knowledge retrieval. You will help build, test, and deploy agents and ML models alongside senior engineers.

You will work on RAG pipelines, agent tooling, and production AI services, with on-site collaboration in Reston, VA, Kent, WA, or Renton, WA offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, ML, EE, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development with exposure to AI/ML.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Experience with LLM-based applications, RAG pipelines, or agent-based systems.
• Exposure to time-series data processing or telemetry data ML training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test multi-agent components for telemetry analysis, anomaly detection, and reporting.
• Build and maintain integrations connecting agents to ground system services.
• Develop agent tooling, prompts, and orchestration for LLM services.
• Create and maintain RAG pipelines with document ingestion, embedding, and vector indexing.
• Implement human-in-the-loop decision workflows and remediation options.
• Deploy and maintain containerized AI services using Docker and AWS.
• Contribute to audit trails, observability, and production operations including incident response.
