Job summary

Global Payments seeks an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy ML/DL and Generative AI models powering automation and personalization across FinTech platforms.

You will own end-to-end ML pipelines, integrate tools like Vertex AI, SageMaker, LangChain, and PGVector, and collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers.

The role requires 4+ years in AI/ML, Python expertise, NLP/LLM experience, and cloud production experience; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of AI/ML engineering experience with solid ML/DL fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Transformers.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI models and agentic systems.
• Experience with NLP, conversational AI, and LLM-based applications.
• Familiarity with vector search and semantic retrieval.
• Strong MLOps knowledge including deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
• Experience building production-grade AI systems at scale in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML, DL, and Generative AI models that solve business problems.
• Build and maintain scalable ML pipelines and agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to translate requirements into AI solutions.
• Implement AI solutions using platforms like Vertex AI, SageMaker, and Snowflake Cortex.
• Apply prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and RLHF to enhance performance.
• Develop and deploy autonomous AI agents using LangChain, LangGraph, and AgentSpace.
• Integrate vector databases and LLM orchestration tools for retrieval and memory.
• Ensure robust MLOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Stay current with AI research and industry trends; share best practices.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and responsible AI development.
