Job summary

Barclays in Henderson, NV is hiring an AI Engineer, AVP to build and deploy AI and GenAI applications that turn data into actionable insights. This onsite contract role emphasizes practical delivery across RAG, conversational AI, and agentic workflows, with strong focus on MLOps/LLMOps foundations.

You will design scalable backend services and APIs, connect AI models to enterprise data platforms, and manage cloud-native workloads on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, plus CI/CD pipelines,

Qualifications

• Identify, collect, and extract data from internal and external sources.
• Perform data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation for analysis readiness.
• Design and maintain data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing.
• Design and conduct statistical and machine learning modeling to analyze patterns, trends, and relationships.
• Develop and implement predictive models to forecast outcomes and identify risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI/GenAI applications including RAG, conversational AI, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation.
• Design scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations connecting AI models with enterprise data platforms.
• Architect and manage cloud-native AI workloads on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, model deployment frameworks, monitoring, and observability.
• Implement secure networking solutions including VPC, private connectivity, load balancing, API gateways, DNS, and security controls.
• Optimize AI application performance, scalability, availability, and cost across computing, storage, and networking layers.
• Apply MLOps/LLMOps practices such as model versioning, automated testing, deployment, observability, rollback, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver production-ready AI capabilities while upholding governance, security, and audit requirements.
