Job summary

IntePros is seeking an AI Engineer to join a rapidly growing applied AI team on a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire basis. You will design, prototype, deploy, and scale AI solutions in live production environments, collaborating with AI Strategists and customer stakeholders.

The role emphasizes hands‑on engineering, experimentation, and rapid iteration within enterprise contexts, including integration with existing platforms and data environments. Hybrid onsite collaboration and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years software engineering experience with Python
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered apps beyond simple API integrations
• Experience with LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval systems or AI automation tooling
• Proficiency across backend and full-stack engineering environments
• Strong fundamentals: debugging, testing, version control, scalable design
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced customer environments
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

IntePros is partnering with a rapidly growing applied AI organization that is helping enterprise customers redesign critical business operations through AI-native solutions. Their focus is centered around deploying practical, production‑ready AI systems that solve real business problems at scale across industries such as healthcare, telecom, insurance, manufacturing, and consumer services.

We’re currently seeking an AI Engineer to join the team on a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire basis. This is a highly hands‑on engineering role working directly alongside AI Strategists and customer stakeholders to design, prototype, deploy, and scale enterprise AI solutions in live production environments.

This team operates in a fast‑moving environment where experimentation, iteration, and real‑world execution matter. The ideal person is naturally curious, constantly exploring emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tooling, while also bringing the communication maturity needed to operate directly with enterprise customers.

The engineering organization has built its own internal AI platform used to rapidly spin up and deploy customer solutions. AI Engineers work closely with AI Strategists to help shape ideas into scalable technical solutions, pressure test feasibility, and determine how systems can be operationalized effectively within enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate on AI‑powered applications and workflows using modern LLM frameworks, agents, retrieval systems, APIs, and automation tooling
• Partner closely with AI Strategists to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions
• Evaluate and refine AI concepts to determine feasibility, scalability, and production readiness
• Build full‑stack and backend integrations that support enterprise AI deployments
• Work directly with customer stakeholders in high‑visibility environments to gather requirements and support solution delivery
• Continuously improve system behavior, reliability, and performance through rapid iteration and testing
• Integrate AI systems into existing enterprise platforms, workflows, and data environments
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to accelerate development and experimentation
• Contribute to a collaborative engineering environment focused on innovation, execution, and customer outcomes

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python fundamentals
• Hands‑on experience building AI‑powered applications beyond simple API integrations
• Experience working with LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval systems, evaluators, orchestration frameworks, or AI automation tooling
• Comfortable operating across backend and full‑stack engineering environments
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including debugging, testing, version control, and scalable system design
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast‑paced customer environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Naturally curious mindset with a passion for experimenting with new AI technologies and workflows
• Comfortable collaborating directly with customers, strategists, and engineering teams
