Job summary

Avid Bioservices in California is seeking an AI Engineer to join a passionate team focused on biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing. The role supports design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of AI-enabled solutions across the organization.

You will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs, build AI-powered automations, and ensure governance, security, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience, or higher degree with less or no experience.
• Experience developing or supporting solutions using Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar.
• Foundational understanding of APIs, data integration, and software development concepts.
• Foundational understanding of AI, ML, LLMs, prompt engineering, or automation technologies.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI-enabled applications and automations.
• Assist with POC, pilot, and enhancements involving LLMs, AI agents, OCR, and related tech.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to map processes and opportunities for improvement.
• Translate requirements into technical designs, configurations, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure governance, security, and change control.
• Maintain solution documentation, including test results and deployment notes.
• Measure outcomes like cycle-time reduction and productivity gains.
