Job summary

Audax Group in Massachusetts is seeking an AI Engineer CO-OP to join the Business Solutions team. You will support the Director, AI Solutions Architect on AI initiatives with hands-on development and governance, coordinating with data teams to build data pipelines and validate AI outputs.

Responsibilities include designing and scaling AI ecosystems, enabling AI infrastructure in our cloud environment, and contributing to proof‑of‑concept projects across functions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Computational Engineering, Computer Science, or another related field.
• Experience with at least two of: traditional ML, NLP, transfer learning/fine-tuning, predictive analytics, agentic frameworks, AI output evaluation, and data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling Audax’s AI ecosystem.
• Coordinate with internal IT professionals to scale AI infrastructure within the company’s cloud enterprise.
• Play an integral role in proof-of-concept development for different function area use cases within the firm.
• Assist with implementation of AI governance policies; this includes security, documentation, and privacy.
• Provide data validation and data quality assessments through coordination with the firm’s internal data engineers.
