Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML-powered software within the Software Engineering team. You will integrate LLM-based tools, copilots, data pipelines, and cloud applications in alignment with architecture and product roadmaps.

You will collaborate with product leaders to translate requirements into scalable, production‑grade solutions while upholding security, privacy, and responsible‑AI practices across the full AI/ML lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred (AI/ML, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related)
• 2+ years in software engineering, architecture, or applied data/ML engineering roles with AI/ML in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy AI-powered software applications including LLM-based tools and copilots.
• Develop and integrate APIs, services, and data pipelines that support AI functionality.
• Identify and prototype high-value AI use cases in partnership with business, engineering, and lab-services stakeholders.
• Translate requirements from product managers and leadership into working solutions.
• Ensure reliability, maintainability, and scalability following standards and guidelines.
• Support deployment and maintenance of AI/ML apps in production environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and model/application lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and communicate trade-offs clearly.
