Job summary

Obin AI is seeking AI Engineers to join the founding team in NYC, building and scaling agentic AI for financial services. You will work closely with founders to influence architecture, tooling, and deployment across production credit workflows.

You will collaborate with customers, design robust AI systems, and own aspects of the backend, data integration, and performance monitoring to deliver tangible ROI and governance within firm controls.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based agents and/or RAG systems in production.
• Logging, evaluating, optimizing AI applications.
• Proficiency in Python and cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred).
• Experience with cloud infra and APIs.
• Hunger to move fast, own outcomes, and build something enduring.
• Strong intuition around system architecture, performance, and scaling.
• Clear communication, especially in ambiguous, high-stakes problem spaces.

Responsibilities

• Designing and Deploying LLM-Powered Agents.
• Working Directly with Customers to understand workflow pain points and co-develop AI solutions that tie to ROI.
• Owning Production Infrastructure and ensuring high availability, performance, and observability.
• Evaluating and Optimizing Systems balancing accuracy, latency, reliability, cost, and explainability.
• Contributing to Core Platform Design and building reusable infrastructure for agent deployment.
• Setting Culture and Standards for engineering practices and roadmap.
