Prospect Capital Management, a New York-based alternative asset manager, seeks an AI Engineer to drive innovation and automation across operations and a portfolio of 120+ companies. You will design and deploy advanced AI models to streamline back-office processes, support valuations and risk assessments, and collaborate with teams across investment, operations and finance in person at our New York office.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional development experience.
• Strong Python, SQL, Docker, Retrieval-Augmented Generation and data manipulation skills are essential.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn is a plus.
• Experience building AI models and end-to-end automation is a plus.
• CI/CD with Azure/AWS; RESTful API design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Automate Core Processes: Develop AI-driven automations for quarter-end processes and data collection.
• Build & Refine Models: Design internal AI models for valuations, risk assessments, and operations.
• Portfolio Company Optimization: Collaborate with portfolio company C-Suite to improve profitability through automation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with investment, back-office, and internal teams to solve challenges using AI.
