MANTECH is seeking an Applied AI Engineer in Doral, FL to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions for national security missions.

You will work with cross-disciplinary teams to deploy models across cloud, on‑prem, and edge environments, focusing on secure, efficient AI systems and real‑world impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in data science, CS, stats, or math with analytics experience.
• Proven experience deploying ML models using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong Python and C++ programming, API integration, and system architecture skills.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and MLOps pipelines.
• Excellent technical writing and ability to communicate complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML models for defense and security.
• Orchestrate AI/ML pipelines, real-time data streams, and automated workflows.
• Collaborate with data architects, software engineers, and stakeholders to set AI standards.
• Conduct model evaluation, performance tuning, and optimization across cloud/off-prem/edge.
• Maintain detailed engineering docs and baseline configurations for AI systems.
• Evaluate emerging AI frameworks and generative models to drive improvements.

Qualifications

Alternatively, a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, a PhD with 1+ years, an Associate's degree with 7+ years, or a high school diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models and AI applications using frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with a solid understanding of software development, API integration, and system architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud computing platforms, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and MLOps pipelines for continuous deployment and integration.
• Excellent technical documentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex systems and processes clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
