Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to building AI/ML or LLM-based systems in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern AI development tools and frameworks such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, LangChain/LangGraph.
• Experience designing and deploying AI agents and workflows with measurable business outcomes.
• Experience with APIs, webhooks, and SaaS integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and deploy AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, and automation solutions across operations and product teams.
• Develop and maintain production-grade integrations between AI systems and GrabJobs’ technology stack (CRM, support, finance, etc.).
• Create reusable components, prompt libraries, and evaluation frameworks to scale AI adoption.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to embed AI capabilities in customer-facing features.
• Establish standards for AI development, monitoring, and cost control; stay current with AI advancements.

About The Role

GrabJobs is seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the technical catalyst behind our AI initiatives, transforming how we develop, deploy, and operate intelligent solutions across our platform. Partnering closely with senior leadership, you will design and implement AI agents, large language model (LLM) workflows, and automation tools that enhance both internal operations and customer-facing features. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of AI innovation within a fast-growing tech company, impacting millions of users and transforming the recruitment landscape. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder, passionate about leveraging AI to solve complex problems, and capable of translating ambiguous business needs into scalable, effective solutions. Your expertise will set the technical standards for AI development at GrabJobs, ensuring responsible, efficient, and impactful deployment of AI technologies.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to building AI/ML or LLM-based systems in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern AI development tools such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, LangChain/LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks for agents and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• Proven track record of designing and deploying AI agents and workflows that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Experience with automation platforms like Zapier, n8n, Make, UiPath, and the ability to determine when to use code versus low-code solutions.
• Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and integrating SaaS systems including Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira, Slack, and Google Workspace.
• Demonstrated pragmatic engineering instincts, with a bias toward shipping solutions quickly and effectively amid ambiguity.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with executive stakeholders, business teams, and engineers alike.
• Based in the US and able to work remotely or in a hybrid setup, with periodic travel to headquarters as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, govtech, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, evaluation frameworks such as Ragas or OpenAI Evals, and AI observability tools like LangSmith, Helicone, or Langfuse.
• Experience in building internal AI platforms or developer tools that scale organization-wide.
• Background in product engineering, data engineering, or applied machine learning.
• Proven ability to coach non-technical colleagues into effective AI users.

• Develop and maintain production-grade integrations between AI systems and GrabJobs’ existing technology stack, including CRM, support, finance, and operational tools.
• Create reusable components, prompt libraries, evaluation frameworks, and internal platforms to facilitate scalable AI adoption across the organization.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed AI capabilities into customer-facing features, enhancing user experience and functionality.
• Work closely with business teams to understand their workflows, identify high-impact AI opportunities, and deliver solutions that address their needs effectively.
• Partner with non-technical staff to help build, refine, and operationalize AI workflows tailored to their specific requirements.
• Make pragmatic technology choices across the AI stack, including LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, agent frameworks, robotic process automation (RPA), low-code automation, and traditional software engineering tools.
• Establish and uphold standards for AI development, including code quality, evaluation, monitoring, prompt management, and cost control measures.
• Stay abreast of advancements in AI technology and incorporate relevant innovations into GrabJobs’ systems proactively.
• Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure AI practices adhere to responsible AI principles, data privacy regulations, and industry standards, especially within regulated sectors.
• Implement evaluation and observability mechanisms to monitor AI system performance, behavior, and ongoing improvement.
