Verdantas is seeking a skilled AI Engineer to support an Intelligence Community customer. The role spans ideation, prototyping, and delivery of AI-enabled solutions across the full technology stack, including Next.js, TypeScript, FastAPI, Python, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch.

You’ll validate data with Pydantic and Zod, and manage Docker and OpenShift deployments. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with generative AI frameworks, strong React/TypeScript skills, and a background in backend

• Bachelor’s degree required or 4 years of related experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for 6 years of experience.
• 9+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• TS/SCI Clearance with Active CI Polygraph preferred.

In this role, you will ideate, prototype, and deliver AI-enabled solutions that directly support national security objectives. You will work across the full technology stack — from intelligent backend services and RESTful APIs to modern front-end interfaces — building and maintaining applications that are reliable, scalable, and secure.This is a collaborative, high-impact position that sits at the intersection of generative AI, agentic systems, and full stack software engineering. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in AI frameworks, proficiency across modern web technologies, and the communication skills to translate complex requirements into working solutions.
