About the role:

We’re on a mission to redefine commerce with AI agents that empower merchants to grow smarter, faster, and more profitably. We seek an AI Engineer to help architect and scale our agentic AI platform, working closely with the CPTO and reporting to the Head of AI Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in building from the ground up in a well-funded startup environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Contribute to end-to-end AI/ML solutions, from problem framing to deployment.
• Develop production-grade pipelines for training, testing, and monitoring models.
• Apply various AI/ML techniques, including deep learning and optimization.
• Build intelligent data products like recommendation engines and fraud detection systems.
• Support MLOps efforts to maintain infrastructure and tooling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create AI solutions for real-world problems.
• Stay informed about new tools, research, and best practices in AI.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in applied ML/AI roles, preferably in product-focused or high-growth startups.
• Experience deploying ML models for real-world applications.
• Full-stack ML expertise: deep learning, classical ML, RL, unsupervised learning.
• Experience building SaaS products.
• Knowledge of knowledge graphs is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Passion for building scalable, usable products.

Salary ranges:

Canada: CAD $135K - $170K annually

US: USD $150K - $190K annually

Salary varies based on experience and location. Additional compensation may include bonuses, equity, and benefits.
