Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Nashua, NH, is seeking an AI Engineer to advance high-speed backplane products. You will design, implement, and validate AI-driven tools and simulations that improve engineering efficiency and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (CS/Engineering/Analytics).
• 3–5+ years of Python experience required.
• Experience with C++, MATLAB, or similar languages preferred.
• Experience integrating software with APIs and scripting interfaces.
• Familiarity with AI platforms, automation, and data visualization tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate needs into solutions.
• Experience developing dashboards and performance metrics.

Position: AI Engineer – High Speed Backplane Products

Responsibilities:

As an AI Engineer within the High Speed Backplane Products Business Unit, you will partner with various engineering leaders and functional teams to identify, develop, and implement Artificial Intelligence solutions that improve engineering efficiency, enhance decision-making, and increase customer satisfaction.

• Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies to improve engineering processes, productivity, and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities for automation and optimization.
• Develop, test, and implement AI-driven solutions, including design and simulation tools, reporting and analysis tools, dashboards, and customer-use tools.
• Partner with engineering teams to turn ideas into functional tools.
• Train employees and teams on AI tools, best practices, and responsible AI usage.
• Create user guides, training materials, and documentation to support AI adoption and ongoing learning.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on emerging AI technologies, trends, and applications relevant to the business.
• Partner with IT, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions align with company objectives, security requirements, and governance standards.
• Recommend and implement process improvements that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase accuracy.
• Maintain awareness of AI compliance, privacy, and ethical considerations in business applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience with Python required. Additional experience with C#, C++, MATLAB, or similar prefrerred.
• Experience integrating software with third-party engineering applications through APIs, scripting interfaces, etc
• Experience automating, or integrating, engineering applications such as ANSYS, HFSS, CST, MATLAB, Creo, SolidWorks, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with AI platforms, generative AI tools, automation technologies, and data visualization software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to train and influence users at all organizational levels.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. You will be at the forefront of AI/ML technology, working on programs that power the next generation of global infrastructure.
