Amphenol Communications Solutions in Nashua, NH is hiring an AI Engineer to identify, build, and deploy AI capabilities for the High Speed Backplane Products unit. You will design AI-driven tools, dashboards, and customer-use solutions while collaborating with engineering teams to translate concepts into working software.

You will train teams on AI tools and responsible usage, produce documentation, and stay current on AI trends and governance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience with Python (required).
• Experience with APIs or integration methods for third-party engineering apps.
• Experience automating engineering apps like ANSYS, HFSS, CST, MATLAB, Creo, SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with AI platforms, generative AI tools, automation technologies, and data visualization software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience building reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including training and influencing users.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Spot opportunities where AI can improve engineering processes, productivity, and operational effectiveness
• Work with business stakeholders to map workflows, understand challenges, and define automation and optimization opportunities
• Design, test, and implement AI-driven solutions such as design and simulation tools, reporting and analysis tools, dashboards, and customer-use tools
• Collaborate with engineering teams to convert concepts into working tools
• Train employees and teams on AI tools, best practices, and responsible AI usage
• Produce user guides, training materials, and documentation to support adoption and ongoing learning
• Act as a subject matter expert on emerging AI technologies, trends, and business-relevant applications
• Partner with IT, business leadership, and cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with company objectives, security requirements, and governance standards
• Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort, streamline workflows, and increase accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5+ years of experience with Python (required)
• Additional experience with C#, C++, MATLAB, or similar technologies (preferred)
• Experience integrating software with third-party engineering applications via APIs, scripting interfaces, or similar methods
• Experience automating and integrating engineering applications such as ANSYS, HFSS, CST, MATLAB, Creo, SolidWorks, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with AI platforms, generative AI tools, automation technologies, and data visualization software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Experience building reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
