Job summary

Our client, a medical technology company in women's health, seeks a hands-on AI adoption coach for a 3–6 month contract in a San Diego office. You will work with the CEO and Chief Science Officer to accelerate real work through Claude and the Microsoft 365 Copilot stack, deploying templates, guides, and best practices to embed new habits.

You will set up accounts, permissions, and reusable prompts, while ensuring data security and confidentiality. Travel to other U.S.

Job description

Our client has bought the AI tools. Their people have not yet learned to live in them. You are the person who closes that gap, working directly with the leadership team of a small medical technology company approaching a major regulatory milestone.

This is a contract engagement of 3 to 6 months. You will have the CEO's calendar, the Chief Science Officer's calendar, and a clear mandate: make these people faster at their real jobs.

Responsibilities

• You coach humans. Your instinct in a first meeting is to ask how someone actually spends their Tuesday, not to open a whiteboard.
• You are hands-on in both Claude and the Microsoft 365 and Copilot stack, and you can set up accounts, permissions, and reusable prompts without waiting on IT.
• You are comfortable telling a CEO that the way he writes board updates could take twenty minutes instead of two hours, and then showing him.
• You leave things behind. Templates, a reference guide, habits that outlive your last day.
• Work through the leadership team one person at a time, learning how each of them actually spends their week and finding where AI earns its place.
• Coach hands-on across both platforms the company runs on, a corporate Claude deployment and the Microsoft Office and Copilot stack, including accounts, permissions, and everyday habits.
• Build reusable skills, prompt templates, and workflows shaped around each leader's function rather than generic training material.
• Leave behind a short reference guide and a set of best practices the team can actually use once you are gone.
• Set the guardrails on responsible use, including data security, confidentiality, and how sensitive corporate information should and should not move through these tools.
• Unblock people as they adopt new habits, and track where the same need keeps surfacing across the team.
• Close the engagement with a clear read on what changed, what stuck, and what the company should do next.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Claude or a comparable enterprise AI platform, including account setup, configuration, and building reusable assets.
• Experience training or coaching senior leaders and executives through technology adoption.
• Working fluency with Microsoft 365 and Copilot.
• A real understanding of corporate data security and confidentiality as they apply to AI tools.
• The interpersonal range to sit with a CEO and a scientist in the same week and be useful to both.
• The organization to run a multi-week rotation across an entire leadership team without being chased.
• Contract engagement, 3 to 6 months, to be confirmed.
• Based full time in the San Diego office.
• Frequent travel to the company's other U.S. office to support leadership there.
