Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Two years reconciliation experience and/or accounting or commission administration or accounts payable/accounts receivable experience.
• Two years customer service or general accounting and/or insurance billing.
• Proven track record of handling sensitive client information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills including outstanding interpersonal and consultative skills
• Demonstration of a high level of administrative competence
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of and highly skilled at setting priorities and managing multiple projects and processes
• Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office software components, especially excel
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with utilizing AI to be more efficient

Responsibilities

• The Staff Accountant has responsibility for creating, reviewing, and ensuring the quality control of financial statement reports, analysis and systems.
• This position will record and review transactions and the maintenance of the general ledger accounts.
• Prepares accounting entries to record recurring and special transactions relating to the revenue, costs and expenses for each functional area of the organization.
• Performs monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts and maintains complete and accurate documentation of the reconciliations.
• Prepares monthly bank reconciliations, monthly calculations, and journal entries.
• Works with the accounting team to coordinate activities in the Accounting Department to accomplish established goals.
