Job summary

Micron Technology, based in Manassas, VA, seeks an Equipment Engineer to ensure reliability and performance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will own end-to-end tool performance, apply AI-enabled analytics, and partner across manufacturing, process engineering, maintenance, and suppliers.

You will drive issue diagnosis, hardware upgrades, and SOP creation while maintaining safety, quality, and manufacturing standards in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with technical troubleshooting, problem solving, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of SPC and continuous improvement methods.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, automation, or manufacturing systems.
• Ability to create technical documentation and communicate with customers and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ownership, initiative, adaptability, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Own equipment performance and reliability improvements.
• Diagnose issues and enable rapid tool recovery.
• Lead hardware upgrade and vendor collaborations.
• Collaborate across Process, Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, Maintenance.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Create SOPs and troubleshooting guides.
• Ensure safety, quality, and manufacturing standards compliance.
