Aquatic Capital Management is hiring a Financial Analyst to join its Chicago Finance team. You will support accounting for management company and funds, including tax, investor reporting, and budgeting/forecasting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with external partners and the use of AI to speed up analysis. The position requires a BS in Accounting (CPA preferred) with 1–3 years in finance or accounting, and is on-site in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting for financial services or audits.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, FP&A processes is a plus.
• Proficiency with AI tools to improve analysis and automate recurring work.

Responsabilités

• Close month-end for the management companies.
• Build and maintain the management company's annual budget and rolling forecasts; prepare budget-to-actual and variance analyses.
• Review fund administrator books and investor statements; assist with investor reporting for the funds.
• Process invoices, credit card, and expense reimbursement through Ramp.
• Assist in regulatory reporting, year-end fund audits, financial statements, K-1s and K-3s, 1099s, and tax filings for funds and management company.
• Use AI tools to streamline recurring workflows, analysis, and reporting; validate AI output.
• Help implement new tools across Finance, including transition to an AI-native accounting platform.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations on ad hoc requests and projects.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
