Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, seeks an EDA/CAD Engineer with hands-on AI/ML, LLMs, and automation to advance AI-enabled design workflows across memory design teams.

You will build and deploy AI-assisted tools to improve IC build workflows from layout to tape-out, collaborating with global CAD teams. You will apply expertise in IC design, verification, and design automation, develop scalable CAD content, and integrate LLM APIs and AI capabilities to raise productivity and design

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience applying AI, ML, LLMs, Generative AI, or automation to real-world engineering problems.
• Strong Python skills and ability to develop maintainable software or tools.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows and agent-based automation concepts.
• Knowledge of CMOS design, custom layout, and circuit verification fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and deploy software, automation, and AI-assisted solutions that improve IC build workflows.
• Develop and enhance AI-enabled tools, agents, and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with global teams to identify opportunities for automation and AI-enabled design enablement.
• Build and maintain CAD tools, workflow integrations, and technical content for design teams.
• Evaluate and integrate EDA tools, LLM-based capabilities, and AI workflows for design challenges.
