Job summary

OrthoArkansas, PA is seeking a hands-on Controller to own the multi-entity ledger, monthly close, and physician financial mechanics. You will lead a small team, stay hands-on with the ledger, and partner with in-house AI developers to automate close processes.

The role emphasizes strong internal controls and clear communication with physician-owners. You will oversee intercompany activity, cash and disbursements, and year-end deliverables, while building AI-enabled accounting capabilities for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience in a Controller/Assistant Controller role.
Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience required.
People management experience with a desire to lead a team.
Healthcare experience is not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly close across all entities, including intercompany activity and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial packages for CEO and boards.
Hands-on ledger work and review of team outputs.
Lead accounting automation and AI initiatives with in-house developers.
Oversee cash management, AP approvals, and payroll-related distributions.
Coordinate year-end audit, tax packages, and compliance deliverables.
Maintain strong internal controls and governance with audit trails.
