Job summary
Rockwell Automation is seeking an experienced automation architect to design agentic frameworks for industrial automation development. You will define the architecture for agents, skills, workflow orchestration, MCP services, development tools, and reusable libraries.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in automation or software engineering, with expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA, IIoT, cloud-native architectures, and AI agents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
- 8+ years in industrial automation, software engineering, or digital manufacturing.
- Experience with AI agents, workflow orchestration, and modern development practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement agentic frameworks for industrial automation development.
- Define architecture for agents, skills, workflow orchestration, MCP services, and tools.
- Transform engineering workflows into reusable AI-enabled skills.
- Develop methodologies to convert customer standards into agent-executable processes.
- Create reference architectures for AI-assisted development, testing, and commissioning.
- Advise customers on Automation Code Standards.
- Assess existing architectures, libraries, and governance models.
- Establish reusable architectures for PLC, HMI, SCADA, analytics, and digital manufacturing.
