Job summary

Ascend Learning is hiring a UX Designer to create user-centered experiences for our digital products. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business goals into compelling design solutions, actively embracing AI tools to move faster and think bigger.

You’ll work in a hybrid model from our Leawood, KS or Burlington, MA offices, with remote options across the United States.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in UX or product design.
Proficiency in Figma; experience with AI-powered design tools.
Experience working with front-end developers and design-to-dev handoffs.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to defend design decisions.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive work forward independently.
Portfolio demonstrating design process and outcomes.

Responsibilities

AI-Augmented Design: use AI tools to rapidly concept solutions and iterate.
End-to-End UX Design: craft user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.
Research & Validation: plan and conduct user research and usability testing.
Collaboration: work with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
Design Systems: contribute to and evolve design system for consistency.
Design Excellence: promote accessibility and best practices in interaction design.
