Job summary

Acadaca is seeking a UX/UI Designer to own the design quality of ecommerce client work, building scalable design systems and reusable patterns. You will collaborate with engineers on frontend integration and ensure accessibility while optimizing for conversion.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in UX/UI design, proficiency with tools like Figma/Sketch, and a strong understanding of Shopify themes and ecommerce UX. AI-assisted design experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in UX/UI design, preferably in ecommerce or agency environments.
• Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, or equivalent) and design system management.
• Strong understanding of Shopify themes, ecommerce UX patterns, and conversion optimization.

Responsibilities

• Client Design Delivery: Own UX/UI design for assigned project slots and retainer clients—wireframes through production assets.
• Design Systems: Build and maintain reusable design systems and component libraries for productized offerings (Core Shopify Theme, Sanity Accelerator).
• AI-Augmented Design: Integrate AI tools into the design workflow for rapid prototyping, asset generation, and design iteration.
• Developer Handoff: Produce clear, complete design specs that engineers can implement without ambiguity. Participate in implementation review.
• Client Communication: Present design concepts and rationale to clients. Translate business goals into design decisions.
• Brand & Accessibility Standards: Ensure all client deliverables meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and align with client brand guidelines.
• Use AI tools for rapid prototyping, layout generation, and design exploration.
• Leverage AI for asset creation (imagery, icons, illustrations) where appropriate.
• Collaborate with engineers on AI-generated frontend code review for design fidelity.
• Continuously evaluate new AI design tools and recommend adoption where they improve quality or speed.
