Job summary

Pivotree is seeking a Technical Architect to own the architecture of complex commerce and platform solutions across the software development lifecycle. You will research, design, and evolve scalable architectures, guiding engineering teams with authoritative architectural judgment.

You will leverage AI to accelerate design, documentation, and decision-making while maintaining rigorous architectural standards.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of software engineering and architecture experience.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture, system design, and databases.
• Experience with Agile and SDLC methodologies.
• Ability to lead across distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Able to articulate trade-offs clearly to technical and business audiences.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving for multi-system architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable presenter to diverse audiences.
• Ability to create inputs for AI-assisted architecture design and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term architectural strategies for new and evolving commerce platforms.
• Design and define system structure, data models, APIs, and microservices boundaries.
• Coordinate integration of new technologies with existing architectures.
• Troubleshoot complex architecture problems and craft sustainable solutions.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate solution design and review AI artefacts before sharing.
• Apply DevOps and CI/CD practices across delivery and governance deployment strategies.
• Lead microservices strategy, service boundaries, and inter-service communication.
• Present plans and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Evaluate new technologies and validate findings with architectural judgment.
