Job summary

Jennison Associates is seeking a Technical Business Analyst in New York, NY to join our front office technology team. You will partner with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, Sales & Distribution, and Marketing to design and deliver data-driven, AI-enhanced investment tech solutions.

The role focuses on understanding business processes, modeling data, and delivering automated analytics. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of data/BI analysis experience, strong SQL, and a proven ability to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
2–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role.
Strong SQL skills with experience analyzing and validating enterprise data.
Hands-on experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI.
Experience building business process automations using Power Automate.
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specs and user stories.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile software development teams.
Experience with AI-enabled business solutions (Generative AI, Copilot, etc.).

Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges, and objectives.
Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
Analyze enterprise data using SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric to identify insights.
Design dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics with Power BI.
Design and implement automated workflows using Power Automate and Power Platform.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve processes and user experiences.
Collaborate with software developers through design, development, testing, and deployment.
Create user stories, process flows, functional specs, and acceptance criteria.
Validate data quality and ensure solutions meet requirements.
Support Agile development activities (backlog, sprint planning, UAT, production support).
