Job summary

EY seeks a hands-on Solution Architect to design, prototype and build modern AI-enabled applications within Digital Engineering Managed Services. You will lead architecture across UI, APIs, data and AI components, work directly in code and guide engineering teams through critical decisions.

You’ll shape reference architectures, enforce clean architecture and security, and own non-functional requirements, with a focus on production readiness and managed services handoffs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Typically 8+ years in engineering and solution architecture roles, with recent hands-on delivery responsibility.
• Prior consulting or complex product delivery experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end application architectures across UI, APIs, services, data and AI components.
• Prototype and spike solutions to validate architectural decisions early.
• Define reference architectures for AI-enabled products including RAG, embeddings and prompt orchestration.
• Author ADRs, sequence flows, deployment diagrams and non-functional requirements.
• Lead technical workshops with client architects and engineers.
• Guide teams on prompt design, context management and AI accelerators.
• Define performance, scalability, observability, security and operability requirements.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and release automation for managed services.
• Balance delivery speed with cost transparency and service SLAs.
