Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks a Software Developer to modernize financial systems powering the Naval Reactors Program. You will work on ERP, TMS, and EPM platforms, driving cloud-based SaaS migrations and infusing AI/ML to improve forecasting, analytics, and decision making.

You will collaborate across Financial Services, IT, HR, and business units to deliver high-impact solutions in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment, adhering to security standards and ethical AI guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years.
• Experience with ERP/TMS/EPM cloud solutions; Oracle ERP preferred.
• Hands-on with Java or similar languages, SQL Server/Oracle, and data pipelines.
• Experience building integrations and data workflows (REST APIs, ETL tools, Azure Data Factory, SSIS).
• Familiarity with Azure cloud and DevOps: Git, CI/CD, automated testing.
• Experience using AI/ML tools and integrating AI/ML services via APIs with data privacy focus.
• Ability to create reports/dashboards/apps using Power BI/Power Apps; ServiceNow exposure a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI/ML initiatives that automate and enhance financial processes under guidance.
• Develop and enhance ERP/TMS/EPM components and assist cloud migrations with architects.
• Design, build, and enhance reporting/data solutions with AI/ML insights for analytics.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and validate new features.
• Implement and maintain data/analytics features, including near real-time reporting.
• Follow security standards and ethical AI guidelines while collaborating across teams.
