Job summary

Meta is seeking a Security Engineer on the Scaling – Vulnerability Management team to architect ML-based systems that identify, triage, and remediate vulnerabilities across Meta's codebase. You will design autonomous remediation pipelines and AI agents to cut through noise and surface real risk at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software.
• 3-5+ years programming with Python, PHP, Ruby or similar.
• Experience remediating infrastructure security gaps using influence.
• Experience with security control automation or “compliance as code.”
• Strong cross-functional communication to influence decisions.
• Experience identifying, triaging, and remediating software vulnerabilities in large codebases.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered remediation pipelines that detect and patch third‑party library vulnerabilities across Meta's codebase.
• Develop ML‑driven triage and contextualization agents that autonomously assess, prioritize, and suppress vulnerability tasks.
• Architect supply‑chain defense systems, including time‑locked package mirrors and decoration services.
• Drive cross‑functional strategy across security, infrastructure, and product engineering teams.
• Own technically complex workstreams while enabling others to execute.
