LogicGate, a leader in AI-driven GRC, is hiring a Software Engineer: Test (SDET) for hybrid remote/Chicago work. You will build automated testing frameworks with TypeScript and Playwright, apply AI-assisted tooling, and ensure robust validation of backend APIs and data stores.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in software test automation, SaaS preferred.
• Strong TS or scripting language and automation framework experience.
• Experience using AI coding assistants in normal workflow.
• Deep knowledge of testing pyramid and API/end-to-end testing.
• Ability to debug distributed backend services and read logs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks.
• Validate APIs and integration layers per the testing pyramid.
• Expand test coverage across the platform and edge cases.
• Diagnose automation failures and accelerate root-cause analysis.
• Document test strategies, runbooks, and defect reports.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and QA to plan validation efforts.
• Coach QA Analysts and engineers to improve automation skills.
• Define QA expectations and contribute to framework standards.
