Job summary

Jiffy is seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer to lead AI-driven coding agent orchestration across the e-commerce platform, from storefront to internal tools, in a fast‑paced, high‑autonomy Dallas team.

You will translate product goals into agent‑executable plans, review diffs, drive production health, and mentor engineers on AI‑native workflows while shaping scalable systems and solid architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as a primary development tool.
• Ability to run multiple agents in parallel and manage concurrent work streams.
• Strong OO design, API design, data modeling, distributed systems, and performance.
• Proficiency in server-side language (Ruby, Python, Go, Java) and front-end stack (React/TypeScript).
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, SQL, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Elite code-review skills; ability to critique diffs quickly.
• Strong written communication and AI-native workflow writing.
• High integrity, accountability, ownership, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate AI coding agents across 3–6 concurrent work streams.
• Own features end-to-end from specs to production health.
• Design and architect scalable systems across Rails 8 / Solidus e-commerce, GraphQL APIs, React 19 front end, Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Raise the quality bar by catching hallucinated APIs and enforcing secure patterns.
• Build and evolve internal AI tooling: skills, rules, prompts, MCP integrations, and evaluation harnesses.
• Operate with production rigor: drive tests, monitor deploys, respond to incidents, own services.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Ops, and engineering teams; mentor on AI-native workflows.
• Continuously identify and automate remaining manual work with agents.
