Job summary

Waymo seeks a leader in Software Quality Operations to advance the safety, reliability, and quality of the Waymo Driver. You will drive complex safety triage workflows, apply advanced ML techniques for automation, and scale data-driven insights as Waymo expands to new cities and platforms.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or 7+ years of relevant work experience in AV Software Quality Operations / ML Operations.
• Ability to manage complex, technical projects across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Systems Engineering.
• Experience across the ML development lifecycle from data prep to deployment and monitoring.
• Experience with ML testing and validation, including dataset quality and bias detection.
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly and use proprietary tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy and implementation of decomposing complex safety triage workflows.
• Define requirements for high-quality human feedback to optimize ML models.
• Collaborate with Engineering to deploy ML/Gen-AI models and tools to improve issue discovery and triage.
• Identify emerging on-road issue trends using data-driven ML insights.
• Bridge AI/ML development and operational execution with policy and roadmaps.
• Advise senior stakeholders on long-term technical strategy and capabilities.
