Job summary

Foreup is seeking a Product Owner/Associate to work with product and development teams and clients to shape product direction, gather requirements, and maintain a prioritized backlog. You will translate business opportunities into actionable user stories and collaborate with engineering and data teams to introduce AI-powered features responsibly.

The role emphasizes stakeholder communication, agile ceremonies, and releasing product updates with clear documentation and training.

Qualifications

BS/MS degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
3+ years’ work experience as product owner, business analyst or subject matter expert in SaaS software applications preferred.
Excellent oral and written communicator up, down, across and outside the organization.
Strong critical thinking, analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
Experience with bug/issue/enhancement tracking, project management software.
Experience with JIRA, Productboard, Pendo, and/or Figma a plus.
Experience defining or shipping AI-powered product features, or working with data science/ML teams, a plus.

Responsibilities

Own the products; ensure they meet external customer needs and expand addressable market.
Maintain focus on technological trends and competitive landscape to drive innovation.
Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation within the product.
Own the creation and grooming of the product backlog by writing/refining user stories.
Serve as Gatekeeper of the product backlog and feedback loop for enhancements and bugs.
Escalate issues and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Translate business prospects into polished backlog and requirements for developers.
Define requirements, success metrics, and guardrails for AI-powered features with stakeholders.
