Job summary

Citco Technology Management is seeking a highly motivated IT Developer to design, develop, and maintain next-generation microservices and platform services that support the firm's core accounting platform rewrite. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and developers across multiple global locations to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.

The ideal candidate is strong in Rust and Python, with API-first architecture and modern software design practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years building backend apps, APIs, or microservices with Rust and Python.
• Strong RESTful API experience using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Experience with AI-Driven Development, including AI-assisted tooling for coding and testing.
• Proficiency in Rust and Python, solid software engineering principles and patterns.
• Experience in distributed microservices environments and API security basics (OAuth2, JWT).
• Familiarity with Python packaging tools, Docker, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable microservices and backend components.
• Build API-first solutions following OpenAPI standards.
• Apply AI-Driven Development techniques to accelerate development and testing.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and engineers to design robust solutions.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure reliable deployment with DevOps teams.
• Create technical docs, API specs, and runbooks; participate in code reviews.
