Job summary

Bitwise in Laurel, MD seeks a Software Engineer with a solid Linux foundation and reverse engineering experience to advance AI-assisted tooling for binary analysis and workflow optimization.

You will design tooling, prototype autonomous agents, and automate tasks while collaborating with customers and teammates. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, with 6+ years of software experience or an advanced technical degree with related years.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer, or a Master’s with 4+ years, or a Bachelor’s with 4+ years.
• Hands-on experience with reverse engineering tools like Ghidra or IDA Pro.
• Strong low-level knowledge: Linux file formats, assembly, binaries, memory and calling conventions.
• Curiosity about AI/LLMs and willingness to deepen skills on the job.
• Experience building tools or plugins for analysis workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build tooling enhancements for reverse engineering workflows.
• Experiment with autonomous or semi-autonomous agents to support development.
• Automate common reverse engineering tasks, including analysis and documentation.
• Apply AI-assisted techniques to binary analysis and pattern ID.
• Work with customers and teammates to shape solutions and measure gains.
