Job summary

Rialto Capital seeks an Associate to support underwriting and asset management for commercial real estate. You will develop detailed cash flow models and business plans, and underwrite both acquisition and existing loans while analyzing property-level operations.

1+ year CRE experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills, and the ability to travel for site inspections across markets are required. AI tools should enhance research and deliver accurate analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Real Estate, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 1+ years of relevant CRE underwriting, loan servicing, or related experience; internships considered.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• AI-enabled tools proficiency to enhance productivity, analysis, and problem solving.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication; able to present to diverse audiences.
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong accountability.
• Reliable and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Asset Managers to develop detailed cash flow models and business plans.
• Underwrite acquisition loans, as well as performing and non-performing loans, including re-underwriting existing positions.
• Analyze property-level operations through budgets, operating statements, and performance metrics.
• Conduct thorough market research, including sales, leasing activity, and local real estate trends.
• Support foreclosure processes, including third-party reports coordination and closings.
• Assist in disposition of assets through valuation, market positioning, and execution.
• Perform property site inspections with periodic travel across the U.S.
• Use AI to support research, synthesize data, validate outputs, and improve workflows.
