Job summary

Raydar seeks an attorney to embed within engineering teams, guiding feature development from design through release. You will test AI outputs against legal standards, translate workflows into product specs, and author code with AI assist tools to implement changes.

The role requires a licensed attorney with substantial legal experience and hands-on AI proficiency, positioned in the San Francisco Bay Area on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with law firm training, plus some in-house experience.
• Five or more years of legal experience.
• Law degree from a top 100 law school.
• Deep substantive knowledge in at least one area of law such as corporate, privacy, compliance, employment or fintech.
• Prior use of generative AI on legal tasks, including judging the quality of what it produces.
• Proficiency with AI tools that goes well past casual personal use.
• Willingness to work in a codebase and adopt a builder mindset.
• Organized, with the ability to coordinate delivery and communicate clearly across disciplines.
• A record of stable tenure in previous roles.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside engineering squads on feature development, serving as the legal advisor throughout the build.
• Design and carry out structured tests that measure AI output quality against high legal standards and rival models.
• Convert legal workflows and user feedback into product specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Write and submit code with AI coding assistants to deliver fixes and new capabilities.
• Prepare sales and solutions staff to present new features to clients.
