Job summary

BCL Legal Limited is recruiting an in-house counsel with a strong background in commercial transactions, contracts, privacy, or regulatory matters to join a Product and R&D team building AI-powered tools for legal departments. The role blends law, technology, and product thinking in a remote-friendly, hybrid setup across the US.

You will evaluate AI outputs, translate feedback into product requirements, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams, influencing product strategy while

Qualifications

• J.D. and active license to practise law.
• 5+ years of legal experience, ideally including in-house experience.
• Strong expertise in multiple in-house practice areas (commercial, contracts, privacy, etc.).
• Experience using and evaluating generative AI tools within a legal environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate legal reasoning into processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute legal evaluations of AI-generated outputs.
• Review and validate AI outputs across legal use cases.
• Translate customer feedback into product improvements and prompts/workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, and GTM teams.
• Advocate for precision, consistency, and usability as the legal voice of quality.
• Convert complex workflows into clear product requirements and roadmaps.
• Provide subject matter expertise influencing product strategy and features.
• Help build AI products trusted by lawyers through legal judgment and customer insight.
