Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an AI Quality & Test Automation Engineer to advance AI-powered features across the Apps Services team. You will design AI-driven automation, build internal tooling, and integrate observability in Kubernetes environments to detect quality issues at scale.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage Python, Ruby, or Swift for automation, and distill complex requirements into clear engineering workflows and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in software dev or QA across full-stack, frontend, backend, or integrated QA roles.
• 1+ years hands-on with AI tools to automate tasks and build systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, or Swift for automation.
• Experience with observability/logging in Kubernetes environments.
• Strong cross-team communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Eng or equivalent experience.
• Swift app development experience and knowledge of Swift tooling.
• Experience distilling complex requests into actionable workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-driven test automation systems to identify edge cases and validate changes at scale.
• Build and maintain full-stack tooling and internal apps to improve development and delivery efficiency.
• Integrate observability and logging in Kubernetes to monitor health and catch regressions early.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quality gaps into automated workflows and test strategies.
• Use scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Swift to automate repetitive tasks and validation pipelines.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate progress clearly.
• Contribute to best practices and foundational patterns for AI-assisted quality engineering.
