Cognizant is seeking a Quality Engineer to advance our AI-driven testing practice. You will design and maintain automated tests in Java and Python, perform API and database validation, and own feature quality from requirements through release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0 – 1 years of professional experience in QA/Quality Engineering.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining test automation scripts in Java and Python.
• Understanding of STLC and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Interest in AI-powered applications and AI/ML testing.
• Experience with Hybrid Automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools.
• Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization (Docker).
• Eagerness to stay current with AI and software testing trends.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for features.
• Perform API and backend testing using Postman, Rest Assured, and SQL queries.
• Own quality for features; craft test cases and run functional, integration, and regression tests.
• Track testing progress using JIRA, ADO, or ALM and report defects.
• Test AI/ML applications, including chatbots, for reliability and bias.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate test script development and data creation.
