Job summary

Karma Automotive seeks an entry-level Quality Engineer I to support Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Systems, NPI, and CI in a lean, low-volume OEM environment.

You'll wear multiple hats, solve problems, own tasks, and drive quality improvements using data analytics, APQP/PPAP, and basic AI/automation projects. Growth opportunities across quality domains are available as you learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 0–3 years in quality or automotive engineering.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and core tools preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Basic understanding of SPC and Lean Six Sigma.
• Willingness to work hands-on in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Support investigation and resolution of supplier, manufacturing, and product quality issues.
• Participate in root cause and corrective action using 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa/Fishbone, and other structured methods.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with inspection plans, control plans, process controls, and defect-prevention methods.
• Support quality systems documentation and SAP/QMS data management.
