Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our AI-driven testing initiative. You will design and maintain automation scripts in Java and Python, perform API and database testing, and ensure end-to-end quality for mission-critical applications.

Collaborate with product and development teams, leverage CI/CD tools, and explore AI-assisted testing approaches to improve coverage and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0–1 years of professional experience in QA/QE roles.
• Hands-on experience with test automation scripts and frameworks in Java and Python.
• Familiarity with STLC and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Interest or experience testing AI-powered applications such as chatbots or AI/ML systems.
• Experience with Hybrid Automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks in Java/Python.
• Perform API testing and validate endpoints with Postman or Rest Assured.
• Conduct database testing with SQL queries for data integrity.
• Own quality for features, create test cases, execute suites, and sign off.
• Track testing progress using JIRA/ADO/ALM and report defects.
• Test AI/ML applications including chatbot intents and edge cases.
