Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated QA across API, web, mobile, and performance tests.

You will build frameworks, mentor teammates, and drive AI-assisted testing, CI/CD integration, and cloud-based load testing in a cross-functional environment. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Playwright/Maestro, Node.js/TypeScript, and cloud platforms like GKE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of relevant QA/automation experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted tooling and cloud-based testing.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites across API, web, mobile, and performance testing domains.
• Builds reusable test utilities, fixtures, and frameworks to improve reliability and reduce maintenance.
• Develops mobile test automation, including simulator/emulator execution and CI/CD integration.
• Applies AI-assisted tooling to support testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Supports scalable cloud-based load testing using Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and related practices.
• Analyzes requirements, test results, defects, logs, traces, and performance metrics to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with reporting, environment management, and failure analysis.
• Establishes QA best practices, coding standards, and troubleshooting guidance.
• Mentors junior QA analysts and collaborates with cross-functional teams.
