Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a visionary Software Test Engineer to join the Commerce IT team. You will shape AI-driven testing strategies, architect autonomous test orchestration, and drive high-performance quality across a cloud-native platform used for Quote/Order experiences.

You will collaborate with global teams, leverage Playwright, Karate, and Selenium, and embed AI/ML observability in testing to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for Cisco’s worldwide customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of software testing experience.
• Experience using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cloud) for code generation, test case scripts, and automated triage.
• Deep expertise in Playwright, Karate, and Selenium for end-to-end testing of microservices and APIs.
• Familiar with full-stack web architectures; hands-on experience with databases, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps to integrate testing into a cloud-native delivery model.
• Experience with AI/ML-based observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK) for predictive root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Architect the next generation of autonomous, AI-driven test orchestration.
• Work on a cloud-native commerce platform, influencing Quote/Order booking experiences for global sellers and customers.
• Integrate AI-augmented development, predictive analytics, and modern automation frameworks into the CI/CD lifecycle.
• Partner with global IT leaders and product teams to translate complex business needs into high-performance testing solutions.
• Promote innovation and mentorship within a culture that values creativity and a fun engineering environment.
