Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior security-focused software engineer to own the design and delivery of AI-driven security features. You will shape platform architecture with React, Python FastAPI, Celery, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes, and lead risk mitigation for AI exposures.

You will mentor engineers and partner with product teams to balance security, speed, and user experience. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in software development, fluency in Python/JavaScript, experience with production AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 6 or more years in software development, including full-stack or backend work
• Fluency in Python and JavaScript, with React preferred
• Hands-on experience building production AI systems with LLMs
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, plus containers, CI/CD pipelines, Git
• Skill in aligning teams and explaining risk to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience mentoring engineers

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of AI-driven security features in production systems
• Shape the architecture of the team's platforms across React, Python FastAPI, Celery, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes
• Lead the team's approach to AI risks like prompt injection, data exposure, and output manipulation
• Guide product security engineers, developers, and product teams as a technical partner
• Balance security, speed, and user experience through defensible risk-based decisions
