Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Principal Program Manager – Technical to own the global business disbursement program and drive network capabilities with platform investments that move money for businesses worldwide.

You will define long-term vision, architect scalable integration patterns, and steer AI-enabled discovery and execution. You’ll partner with engineering, compliance, and business teams, reporting to the Director of Global Money Movement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of program management with measurable outcomes.
• Experience partnering with external partners and business development teams.
• Strong technical fluency and ability to discuss architecture and APIs.
• Track record of owning product or platform performance metrics (reliability, speed, cost, growth).
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to size opportunities using data (SQL).
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders up to VP level.
• Operator's bias for action with hands-on execution when needed.
• Strong product judgment balancing short-term results with durable competitive advantage.
• Experience applying AI tools to accelerate analysis and decision making.
• Payments/remittance or financial infrastructure experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the business disbursement program.
• Lead AI-enabled discovery, analysis, and program operations to move faster with quality.
• Collaborate with external partners and represent the program to BD and leadership.
• Understand Remitly services and APIs to inform scalable integration patterns.
• Drive internal teams to build required features with clear requirements and judgment.
• Identify customer pain points, market shifts, and competitive opportunities.
• Ground decisions in data, size opportunities, and drive prioritization.
• Elevate product thinking with a vision for scalable, platform-oriented solutions.
