Job summary

Lowenstein Sandler LLP seeks a Practice Innovation Attorney to equip attorneys with AI skills, tools, and workflows in an AI-enabled environment. This hands-on, attorney-facing role builds training programs and embeds AI into day-to-day practice.

The role serves as the primary internal resource for attorney AI literacy, aligning with the Vision 2030 AI initiative and collaborating with IT and Knowledge Management to ensure adoption and governance.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission (any U.S. jurisdiction).
  • 3–5+ years of substantive legal practice experience, with exposure to transactional and/or litigation matters.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs—in a law firm or legal operations context.
  • Hands‑on experience with generative AI tools (Harvey, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to advance multiple workstreams and drive adoption.
  • Exceptional communication and teaching skills—able to translate AI concepts for attorney audiences at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of legal workflows and the practical realities of law firm practice.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deliver AI training programs for multiple practice groups, including corporate, transactional, bankruptcy, and litigation.
  • Develop workshops, coaching sessions, and self-guided materials (videos, guides, prompt libraries).
  • Serve as the firm’s go-to resource for attorneys learning to work with generative AI tools.
  • Create onboarding AI training tracks for associates, laterals, and summer associates; keep materials current.
  • Develop CLE-eligible training content and coordinate accreditation for programs.
  • Track adoption metrics and iterate training content based on feedback and data.
  • Map workflows with practice group leaders to embed AI tools, automation, and data analytics.
  • Design prompts and multi-step workflows for legal tasks; lead pilots from scoping to rollout.
  • Build and maintain a firm-wide prompt library and workflow playbook; define success metrics.
  • Collaborate with IT/Knowledge Management to integrate AI tools with firm systems (iManage, Aderant).
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging AI tools; provide roadmap feedback to leadership.
