Ambitus Research is seeking engineers to review complex building drawing sets against governing documents and identify every non-compliance. You will judge whether AI-generated reviews correctly locate violations and explain them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience on building projects with drawing review, QA/QC, or plan check.

Responsibilities

• Review multi-discipline drawing sets against a governing document and identify every non-compliance, including violations that only surface when sheets, details, and schedules are cross-referenced.
• Record each finding in a structured format (CSV), citing the sheet, element tag or grid reference, governing clause, and a clear description of the issue.
• Evaluate AI-generated review findings against reference answers, flagging missed violations, false positives, incorrect locations, and misapplied clauses.
• Develop challenging review tasks, reference answer sets, and grading criteria that reflect professional engineering practice.
• Document assumptions and interpretations where the governing document or drawings are ambiguous or conflicting.
